It’s Olive Loaf, of course
I used to know it anywhere
It stood out from the crowd
Not a circle, but a square.

It was the perfect sandwich
If only in my head
A tasty square of lunchmeat,
Some mayo and some bread.

Lunchmeat at its most genius
Olives green, pimento red
And unlike its bologna cousin
It was square and fit the bread.

But my Olive Loaf is different
It’s gone completely round
My bread now lacks full coverage
With no corners to be found.

They’ve ruined my perfect sandwich
And it ought to be a crime
To inspire and ode to Olive Loaf
As evidenced by this rhyme.

While even as a circle,
the Olive Loaf does still taste the same
It may as well be bologna
‘Cuz circles are just way too lame.
