Things I Like Thursday 10/7

Continuing on with Things I Like Thursday for this week…

4. Sweet N Low in my water. Be grossed out if you want to, but I hate water. No, I despise water. No really, to be brutally honest, I think water sucks more than the Freak Next Door on his very worst day (and believe me, that’s saying a lot.) Water is gross. It’s a bland, flavorless, boring, piss-poor excuse for a life-sustaining liquid that makes me wanna drink Vodka instead. And I don’t even like Vodka. Granted, it’s necessary for human survival and all, but that doesn’t make my point any less valid. The only reason I even drink it now is because of a war I fought with an evil kidney stone a few years ago…and the kidney stone won. So now I drink water all the time. But the only way I can stomach it is if I put Sweet n Low in it. So that’s what I do.

5. Jerseylicious. If you are a reality show addict aficionado like me, you probably watch this show on the Style network too. I just love it. Can’t get enough. Why shouldn’t I like about a show about a bunch of twenty-something, big haired, overly tanned and made-up, animal-print-wearing, cleavage-bearing hair stylists in New Jersey? I mean, clearly, we have so much in common. [virtual wink goes here] Rumor has it that the girls aren’t really employees of the salon and that it’s basically a fake show (no shocker there). But it’s still a hoot to watch (yes, I did indeed say “hoot”) on an otherwise boring night of Sunday TV.

6. The fact that my husband doesn’t watch sports. That’s right, ladies. I have never been a “Monday Night Widow.” I’ve never had to plan my day around a Superbowl Party. And the World Series has never aired once on any TV in my home. Jealous? I think this pretty much proves that I do, in fact, have the best Hubs in the entire world. He really is the best. I think he must qualify for some sort of award or something.

And no, I’m not just singing the Hubs’ praisesĀ  because I’m still lobbying for a new refrigerator. But it can’t hurt, right?
